University of Pennsylvania Associate Professor Academic Clinician – Department of Pediatrics - Division Human Genetics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Human Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of human genetics, including statistical genetics, computational biology, pharmacogenetics/genomics, functional genomics, genome editing, structural variation analysis, cancer genetics and be familiar with studies addressing translational genomic medicine. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Subspecialty board certification in Clinical Genetics.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and genetics fellows within the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings and giving clinical lectures to trainees. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities may include providing outpatient and inpatient clinical care in one or more of the following specialties: clinical genetics, biochemical genetics, mitochondrial medicine, genomic medicine, and can be tailored to the applicants interest and our clinical needs.
