Position Summary:

The River Park House Business Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations of the RPH management office, ensuring efficiency and productivity. The Business Manager's primary duties include human resources, legal and financial oversight, rules and regulations, resident relations, customer service, Council activities, and compliance. This role involves managing finances, assisting in overall building management, and implementing process improvements. Strong leadership, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this dynamic position.

 

 

Responsibilities/Duties

 Business Operations

  • Hiring, terminations, disciplinary measures
  • Payroll and benefits administration
  • Accounts payables & receivables
  • Credit card reimbursement & employee purchase reimbursement
  • Contact for Association's attorney
  • Update and maintain corporate policies and regulating documents
  • Vacation coverage for General Manager and Office Manager
  • Address escalated matters that may ensue during normal operations
  • General inquiries/phones/email

 Building Operations

  • Investigations and notices for violations of RPH Rules and Regulations
  • Investigate, settle and document complaints, disturbances and violations
  • Oversee income-producing commercial areas of building
  • Assist in maintaining city & state compliance standards
  • Interface with Association's management company
  • Prepare ancillary documents for Association's audit (management company to send to auditor)
  • Respond to requests from financial auditors as needed
  • Assist in overall operation of building

 Council Business

  • Assist in preparation of Council election materials
  • Interface with Council members
  • Attend open and closed Council and Budget meetings as needed

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a proactive work style
  • Solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines

  • Ability to provide high-level customer service
