The Comcast internship/co-op program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network.

This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Organization & Team Overview

The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization acts as the engine for much of this innovation, developing and delivering our Xfinity and Comcast Business products and services, as well as the tools that our teammates use to support our customers. In addition, the team is responsible for the network that allows the delivery of those products and services to residential and business customers. The TPX Communications team delivers business-critical and business-as-usual communications to ensure that all TPX employees and key stakeholders understand and engage in achieving our company wide and TPX goals.

The Comcast Network and CONNECTivity (CONNECT) organization is a highly agile, fast-paced, dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable network for our customers. Within CONNECT, the National Capacity & Deployment Services (NCDS) organization is made up of several team responsible for the management of our network capacity, inclusive to the technical facilities like National & Regional Data Centers.

Role Description

The National Capacity & Deployment Services organization is a fast paced, diverse, culture-first team that values continuous improvement and empowers every member of the team. In this role, you will be exposed to technical budget management, vendor management, procurement, supply chain and logistics.

As a Business Support & Analytics Intern on the Data Center Capacity & Facility Portfolio Management team, you will have the opportunity on projects to influence operating expense reductions, analyze performance on capital funded projects and gather data analytics for process improvements.

  • Gathering, preprocessing, and reporting data

  • Creating and presenting dashboards with valuable insights

  • Tracking and analyzing business performance to identify opportunities for growth

  • Internalizing different statistical and advanced statistical techniques

What are some interesting problems the student will work on?

In your role, you will bridge the gap between forecasted facility spend and actual invoices.  Trend durations for space and power requests by facility and colo provider types. Analyze facility capacity data to find opportunities for optimization. Work with vendors to manage logistics and supply chain dates for large technical refresh project in the data centers.

Success in this role is characterized by motivation, engagement and delivering on business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review monthly invoices and trend anomalies.

  • Categorize facility spend by type and provide monthly reporting

  • Analyze capital funded projects, providing insight and data on timelines, logistics and material procurement.

  • Learn how to read capacity reports for facility types and provide analysis for opportunity to optimize those data centers.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft Excel (required)

  • SQL, Python, PowerBI or Tableau

  • Preferred Majors: Business Management (General), Finance, Supply Chain

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:

Base Pay: $32.00
