General Description 

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Success and Engagement, the Coordinator, Student Success and Engagement Operations provides high-level support to the Associate Dean in the coordination of administrative processes and reporting needed for the effective operations of the Student Success and Engagement offices and departments. Primary responsibilities include the administrative oversight and coordination of divisional reporting, data management and information gathering.

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administrative duties related Student Success and Engagement programs, applying knowledge and skills to resolve complex administrative problems independently or with others. 

     

  • Maintain the Associate Dean's schedule and the calendar of events, scheduling ongoing meetings within the Student Success and Engagement programs and compiling attendance reports.

``` - Act as lead trainer for IPEDS ACCSES database to ensure all users are instructed on its functionally.

``` - Prepare weekly reports to track student's progress and academic standing.

``` - Extract and compile a range of data from various sources, individuals, and/or databases, providing an assessment and evaluation of the data.

``` - Process forms, documents, requests and other correspondence according to the College or division's policies and procedures.

``` - Assist in the organization and implementation of professional development efforts.

``` - Research and prepare materials needed by the Associate Dean; coordinate data requests as appropriate, utilizing MS Excel, Access, or other software.

``` - Serve as the representative for maintaining the Student Success and Engagement webpages on the College's website.

``` - Collaborate with other departments to accomplish assignments and projects. 

 

  • Maintain and organize shared files of Student Success and Engagement documents so all files are easy for users to locate.

``` - Assist in developing budgets and monitoring expenditures.

``` - Oversee the work of assigned staff and student workers.

``` - Oversee the Fall New Student Call Campaign Organization; disseminating lists to volunteers at the College, collecting feedback, and preparing a report on the outcomes.

``` - Assist in coordinating the hiring and onboarding process of new employees within the division.

``` - Maintain the directory of all Student Success and Engagement personnel on a semester basis.

``` - Deliver quality customer services to both internal and external constituents in a professional, helpful and courteous manner.

``` - Assign academic Advisors in Banner and partner with ITS to ensure advisor assignments are correct on a semester basis.

``` - Coordinate and organ ze Banner training for Division staff, as needed.

``` - Coordinate and complete special projects independently or in cooperation with other departments as assigned.

``` - Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Associate's degree required. Any and all degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. 

     

  • Two (2) years of related work experience required.

``` - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.   

```{=html}

``` - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   

```{=html}

``` - Demonstrated ability to set priorities and effectively manage time under tight deadlines.

``` - Strong problem solving and project management skills required.   

```{=html}

``` - Strong collaboration skills required.   

```{=html}

``` - Advanced level proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Access.

``` - Ability to maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds required. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 

     

  • Previous experience working in higher education preferred. 

     

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
