Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in the education university industry, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Desktop Support Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting various technologies and systems within the institution.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and troubleshoot various technologies including switches, DSPs, and projectors.

• Manage the panel used for room control, ensuring its effective functionality.

• Oversee the login process for touch panel computers, ensuring smooth operations.

• Handle the operation and troubleshooting of projectors, ensuring optimal performance.

• Gain proficiency in Zoom for effective operation and troubleshooting.

• Distinguish between separate conference rooms and instructional classrooms, providing appropriate support for each.

• Regularly check-in with the program office and relevant people to ensure smooth operations.

• Utilize skills in Dell Technologies and Microsoft to improve and maintain system performance.

Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proven experience in desktop support or similar role is required.

• Familiarity with Dell Technologies, Microsoft software and hardware, and Zoom is necessary.

• Knowledge of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and Projectors is desirable.

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues is a must.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively assist staff with technical issues.

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proficiency in creating and managing documentation related to IT support processes.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.

• Strong customer service skills to assist users in a friendly and professional manner.

• Ability to work in a team and independently as required.

• Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when necessary for system updates or resolving urgent issues.
