Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Accounting in NE Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hybrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the accounting operations of our organization. This role is crucial in achieving our financial objectives and involves leading a team of accounting professionals to ensure compliance, manage audits, and analyze key business metrics.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the team in producing accurate and timely financial reports and provide commentary on variances
• Oversee the annual corporate audit and other periodic audits
• Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state laws in all areas of accounting to ensure compliance
• Analyze financial data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and recommend corrective action as necessary
• Manage the company's cash flow to ensure financial stability and efficient use of resources
• Coordinate budget/forecast preparation, collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial information to provide financial projections
• Ensure the establishment and effectiveness of internal controls and that all financial transactions are properly recorded
• Improve the financial close process through process enhancements and team training
• Ensure compliance with service level agreements
• Supervise, mentor, and lead the accounting staff
• Utilize accounting software systems to optimize accounting functions
• Apply knowledge of US GAAP and manufacturing industry standards in all accounting practices
• Employ auditing and budget processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Use your CPA certification to ensure the highest standards of accounting practices are upheld.
Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Accounting Functions and Auditing.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is required.
• Proficiency in using Epicor software.
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience in the Manufacturing industry.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
