IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team!We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer - New Graduate in our Philadelphia, PA Office.As an Electrical Design Engineer - New Graduate you will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensurepositive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in engineering analysis,design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. This position will beexpected to work within the project's monetary budget as well as collaborate with crossfunctional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Principal Responsibilities

Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to coderequirements and IMEG standards

Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, andcommunicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationshipsthrough professional communication

Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects.

Assist inproject planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives

Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoringproject design progress

Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions

Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficientsolutions

Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs andsolutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices inelectrical engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts withinIMEG

Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safetyrisks associated with electrical systems

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and projects managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals

Required Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production oftechnical plans and specifications

Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuittheory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electricalsystems design for buildings

Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools, including lightingphotometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; energy compliance software such as ComCheck; and familiar use of Adobe or BluebeamRevu

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in bothoral and written communication to individuals or groups

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges

Basic knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software

Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required

Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25pounds

Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull

Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
