IMEG Corp. is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an HVAC Engineer of Distinction - Healthcare role in our New York, NY office

Scope

The Mechanical Engineer of Distinction is recognized as a technical expert in mechanical design, both inside and outside of the firm. Individuals in this position focus on the strategic implementation of team initiatives that center around technical expertise, quality, and innovation to ensure positive outcomes. The primary responsibilities of a Mechanical Engineer of Distinction will include leading quality control, innovation, and technical training efforts within the team and IMEG. They also will be responsible for establishing and maintaining their status as a visible expert both within IMEG and within the consulting industry and enhancing IMEGs positioning with clients through recognized technical expertise and thought leadership.

Principal Responsibilities Provide guidance within the team and company to meet the technical engineering needs for projects Hold a technical leadership position within IMEG (e.g. technical task force chair, market, or service expert) and champion growth within IMEG in their area of expertise Serve as a technical resource for resolving field issues on projects, visiting project sites and resolving technical issues with little assistance from other senior staff Participate in promotional activities that establish IMEG as a technical expert, including items such as speaking at conferences, participation on national technical boards, and writing articles and whitepapers Make major design decisions and provide project design direction to team Plan design work by discipline for all project sizes and assign duties to staff working on projects Review correspondence prepared by less experienced staff Actively lead in quality control process for team projects Contribute to IMEGs thought leadership through the Technical Operations Team Act as an advisor and analyze technical problems and write technical reports Play a significant role in project reviews for quality control for large complex projects Lead project interviews and project presentations

Required Skills/Abilities Mastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise Ability to sell work and develop client relationships Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaborativel in a team environment Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Eagerness to adapt to new challenges Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups Ability to travel up to 25% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required Professional Engineer (PE) License required 18 years of experience minimum required, 20 preferred, in the building design consulting industry This position is not eligible for sponsorship

Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

Salary Range $166,000 - $203,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. In addition, IMEG Corp. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
