Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory service line is seeking an Institutional Portfolio Specialist to support the continued growth and operational efficiency of our Institutional practice. This high-profile practice, led by Paula Thoreen, has demonstrated robust performance with recurring revenue streams and significant recent portfolio wins, including contracts with CalPERS and CPPIB. This role will be integral to ensuring seamless execution of institutional portfolio valuations, contributing to our team’s sustained profitability and client satisfaction.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Coordination:

  • Manage the coordination of institutional portfolio assignments, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with clients and internal teams.

  • Track and monitor deadlines to ensure timely delivery of valuation reports.

  • Serve as the central point of contact for clients and team members regarding portfolio-related inquiries.

Production Support:

  • Contribute to valuation production activities as needed, including data compilation, report preparation, and quality assurance.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating portfolio tracking systems for accurate reporting and analysis.

Operational Excellence:

  • Develop and refine processes to streamline portfolio workflow and improve efficiency.

  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to address challenges and implement solutions in real-time.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for portfolio management based on data trends and client feedback.

Client Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and proactive communication.

  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and consistent follow-through on commitments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: 2+ years in real estate valuation, portfolio management, or a similar role; experience within institutional practices is highly valued.

  • Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and portfolio management software.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Information:

This position is part of a phased approach to support the expansion of our Institutional practice. Initially, the role will balance portfolio coordination with production responsibilities. As the business grows, the role may transition to a full-time portfolio management focus, with a corresponding adjustment in responsibilities and compensation.
