Job Description: As an Independent Contractor Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day payroll activities across multiple countries, with a focus on Latin American payroll operations, particularly Brazil and Mexico. Reporting directly to the Payroll Director, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to relevant regulatory requirements and company policies. This role requires hands-on involvement in payroll processes and the ability to navigate complex scenarios within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end payroll processes for multiple countries, including data entry, calculation, and validation of payroll inputs. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and statutory requirements across the Americas. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Provide hands-on support for day-to-day payroll operations, troubleshooting discrepancies and resolving queries. Assist in payroll system implementations, with Workday experience being a significant advantage. Support equity-related payroll transactions, particularly in public company environments. Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll accounts and maintain accurate financial records. Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data, adhering to strict data protection protocols and security measures. Fill in for the Payroll Director in meetings as needed, demonstrating professional acumen and a proactive approach. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll operations, ideally within the Americas, with a focus on Brazil and Mexico. In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements across multiple countries in the Americas. Proven experience with payroll systems, with familiarity in Workday highly preferred, especially if involved in a Workday implementation. Experience with equity compensation and its integration into payroll processes is a plus. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a go-getter attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a small team environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Flexibility to adapt to changes and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
