LEAD SYSTEMS ANALYST - 1

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Provides expert capability in one or more areas of software development, business and data analysis or project management. Assists management in developing short-term and long-term IT strategy. Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding new or enhancements to existing IT solutions. Demonstrates sound business, technical and fiscal judgment on behalf of the department and company, to research, recommend and implement solutions to the most complex business issues. Provides mentorship and coaching to less experienced staff within function. Manages the full software development lifecycle. Career may advance along a more technical track (e.g. as a software developer/integrator) or in the areas of business analysis/project management. Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE LEAD SYSTEMS ANALYST - 1: Communicates effectively with HR leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. Manages relationships with commercial software support partners, by prioritizing assignments, communicating requirements, and managing related budgets Aids in defining, documenting and managing project scope, goals, priorities, deliverables and timelines that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Leads crucial conversations during design, build, and implementation with various business stakeholders and peers from other cross-functional teams. Assists in the design, development, integration, implementation, and support of IT solutions supporting Carpenter's Human Resources department. Fluent in SDLC methodology and develops project plans accordingly. Meets project milestones and deadlines in a timely manner. Writes functional specification based on business requirements for development objects including reports, interfaces, conversations, enhancements, forms, and workflows. Assists business users to create and execute scripts to test business functionality. Creates end user training documentation, business process procedures, training plans, and helps deliver user training. Drives timely resolution of assigned issues through their entire life-cycle - Inception to Closure. Configures HR applications in response to defined business requirements. Assists business users with activities related to software change requests Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change. Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE LEAD SYSTEMS ANALYST - 1: B.S. degree in computer science or related field or a combination of business-related functional experience, education, or related certifications with experience. Fifteen or more years of Information Technology experience. Minimum 6 years of related experience with Workday, UKG Workforce Central/Pro, and/or other relative system experience. Workday integration design and development experience. UKG functional and configuration experience. Demonstrated business knowledge or experience for specific functional area. Highly effective communication / presentation skills. Strong collaboration skills and comfortable working in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-sol ing skills. Strong time management skills. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment. Develops competence in own area by performing structured and/or routine work. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems; applies judgement and discretion. Works independently but takes direction and guidance from others.
