Robert Half Media Relations, Senior Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description We are seeking a Senior Manager for Media Relations to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is within the healthcare, hospitals and social assistance industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. The Senior Manager for Media Relations will be responsible for managing relationships with faculty, media outlets, and other organizations we partner with on coordinated pitching. This role involves working on-site with one day of flexibility per week to work from home to support media events, camera escorts, and other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage relationships with faculty, media outlets and any organizations we are partnering with on coordinated pitching

• Position faculty as spokespeople when news reports surrounding healthcare industry come out or when making news via a target list

• Process and manage news media relations

• Oversee and conduct media pitching for brand awareness and campaign planning

• Use Adobe Premiere Pro, Constant Contact, Content Management System (CMS) and similar platforms for media coordination

• Manage public interest in the healthcare industry

• Work on-site and remotely to support media events, camera escorts, etc.

• Maintain relationships with media outlets and spokespeople in the healthcare industry. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Media Relations or a similar role in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry.

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for creating and editing digital content.

• Experience with Constant Contact for email marketing and engagement with stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) for website content updates and management.

• Proven track record in increasing brand awareness through effective media strategies.

• Strong background in campaign planning, from conceptualization to execution and evaluation.

• Digital savvy, with a deep understanding of digital media platforms and their role in public relations.

• Demonstrated ability in media pitching to secure high-profile coverage in news media.

• Experience in training and managing spokespeople for media interviews and public events.

• Ability to identify and promote public interest stories within the organization.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Healthcare Industry and its key issues and trends. Innovation starts with people.®
