System One Quality Assurance Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Title: QA Technician

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Type: Direct Hire

Shift/Schedule: 1st Shift: M-F 6:30am EST – 2:30pm OR 2nd Shift: M-F 2:30pm – 10:30PM

Pay: Negotiable based on experience

Start: Immediate

Overview:

Expanding food manufacturing company in Philadelphia Pa are looking for experienced QA Technicians to join their 1st and 2nd shift teams! 5 years experience with quality in food manufacturing are encourage to apply. Be apart of groundbreaking work!

Responsibilities:

1st Shift:

  • Collaborate with production teams to address any quality issues promptly, including adjusting processing parameters or modifying formulations as needed.

  • Conduct labeling reviews to ensure accurate and compliant product labeling, including ingredient lists, nutrition facts, and allergen declarations.

  • Perform regular audits of production facilities to verify adherence to quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety regulations.

    2nd Shift :

  • Utilize extensive QA experience to identify and diagnose problems that may arise on the quality line, including defects in products, packaging, or labeling.

  • Employ problem-solving skills to address quality issues promptly and effectively, minimizing downtime and production losses.

  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues, utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying causes.

    Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science or at least 5 years in Food/Beverage Industry

  • Knowledgeable in Food Safety

  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team

  • Self-starter--ability to accomplish goals with minimal direction

  • Reliable, self-motivated, team player

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Friendly and helpful attitude

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, or comparable.
