Barber National Institute Receptionist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Receptionist

This is a full-time, non-exempt position whose primary responsibility is to field calls and visitors to the agency and direct them to the appropriate person in a courteous, efficient manner.  Additionally, this position has clerical and data entry duties related to the office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone, screens and refers calls to the appropriate person.
  • Takes phone messages as required and distributes to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • Maintains calendars for conference room meetings.
  • Greets visitors and refers them to the appropriate person.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail in a timely manner.  Prepares and handles outgoing mail daily, including any overnight packages to the Erie office.
  • Maintains filing system and sees that each file is current and updates files as required.
  • Maintains supply inventories and prepares orders.  Verifies receipt of supplies, verifies invoices, reviews and fills supply requisitions.
  • Makes copies and distributes in a timely manner, general typing and utilizes the fax machine as required.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/equivalent 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Clerical experience preferred.

  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
