Sr. Accountant

Summary: The Senior Accountant will leverage extensive accounting expertise to manage the corporate accounting department and ensure the timely preparation of financial reports. This role includes overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for assigned companies, supervising staff, and implementing training programs to enhance departmental performance.

Required Skills/Abilities Five or more years of accounting experience. Bachelor's in Accounting required. Insurance and/or Third Party Administrator Automotive experience required. Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Able to work independently and solve problems related to data discrepancies.    CPA or CPA eligible preferred but not a requirement

Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations. of as companies assigned Financial reporting for all companies assigned - remove - duplicated Oversee and assist with month-end closing including commissions, carrier reporting, and other miscellaneous reporting. Prepare, review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and bank/credit card reconciliations. Assist in the preparation and review of timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements. for several small entities. Complete and monitor daily cash reports and discuss exceptions in a timely manner. Assist the Controller with the month-end accounting close. Remove - duplicated above Review inter-company transactions and manage reconciliations between separate companies. Support financial audits and assist with conducting other audits. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls         Benefits offered:
