Hours: M-F, 8 hour days, hybrid

Location: 1500 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA

Summary:

  • The Senior Business Process Integration Consultant is responsible for coordinating and leading local and/or enterprise-wide initiatives, while leveraging technology to optimize business processes. The role assumes responsibility for leading and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to establish effective decision-making, guide and direct end user education and support, drive standard processes to reduce variability and risk, develop and use analytics to measure success, and leverage technology to support business processes. This is a position requiring independent thought and judgment with the ability to link enterprise strategy to front line business and/ or clinical operations. Working under limited supervision, this individual will facilitate implementation and adoption of technology and end user optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate execution of enterprise and local-level strategic optimization projects.

  • Inform, design, and assure implementation and adoption of technology solutions.

  • Assure departmental and system readiness for new implementations, upgrades, new hospitals/practices.

  • Promote implementation of best practices/standards across departments with focus on technology and improvements to clinical/business processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective local education and support.

  • Support and understand the needs of the client.

  • Communications are timely and appropriate to audience.

  • Maintains confidentiality of information.

  • Completes assignments in a timely manner.

  • Advances change and different approaches to work.

  • Clinical Team only: Coordinate and lead governance and prioritization within the local entities.

  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures •

  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Credentials:

  • Project Management of Lean Certification (Preferred

  • Professional Certification (Preferred)

  • EPIC Certification (Preferred)

Education or Equivalent Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree. (Required)

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare related settings working with electronic medical records. (Preferred)

  • Master's degree and prior experience a medical practice management or healthcare management role. (Preferred)

  • Experience using EPIC. (Preferred)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of electronic medical records functionality

  • Experience with Project Management tools and methods

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to use Visio

  • Understanding of medical office and/or hospital and/or healthcare operations

  • Demonstrable ability to lead and deliver strategically important projects through to completion

  • Schedgistration Team: Experience with precertifications and scheduling

  • Clinical Team: Clinical experience/management of a medical office or hospital setting

  • Access Team: Experience with Patient Portals, Epic My Chart
