ManTech Software Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA . This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

  • Debug existing software and correct defects

  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features to existing OT software

  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

  • Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any project

  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards

  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components

  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas

  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design

  • Develop and execute test plans, test procedures, and unit tests to demonstrate modified systems meet the identified requirements. Write and review test reports

  • Develop technical documentation, including technical manuals, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and technical data packages

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) or more years of professional experience with software engineering

  • Five (5) or more years of experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting

  • Three (3) or more years of experience applying software development methodologies, including Agile and/or DevOps/DevSecOps in professional or academic setting

  • Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems from an ABET-accredited program

  • DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, Security+ CE)

  • Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification

Clearance Requirements:

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
