Public Buildings Service Supervisory Project Manager in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Summary Serves as Division Director of the Project Management Services Office Public Buildings Services, Mid-Atlantic Region. As such, conducts regional project management for regional capital and high risk (over $10M) projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Project Management Services Division, Mid-Atlantic Region 3, Philadelphia, PA. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities The major duties of the Supervisory Project Manager include but are not limited to the following: Plans directs and supervises the region's project management program for large complex new construction, repair and alteration, improvements, and preservation of government owned and leased buildings throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Serves as the Regional Project Management Officer (PMO) for the global project management (gPM) program and will oversee the promulgation of project management throughout Region 3. Shapes the constantly changing environment to accomplish the PBS mission through innovatively procured/administered contract resources and diverse teams. Directs project management programs to enhance a partnership approach with customers, management, contractors, and union officials to ensure effective and open communication with all parties and understanding between the groups. Participates with higher level management in the formulation of policies and operational philosophy which guide the Project Management Services Division in formulating long range plans for the future state of the organization PBS is moving toward. Serve a one year supervisory or managerial probationary period, if required. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience planning, directing, and managing one or more of the following complex design and construction projects for an organization: major renovation and/or modernization; repair and alteration; construction contracting; lease purchase and/or site purchase; property disposals; utilization; and/or real estate development. Applicant must demonstrate experience working with internal and external stakeholders to identify strategic objectives, goals and plans for capital or major complex real estate projects.
