Summary of Objective:

The IT Systems and Cloud Engineer will focus on architecting new and existing systems in a hybrid cloud environment. This will include equipment and servers at primary, secondary and remote data centers in addition to cloud locations. VMWare Hosts (consisting primarily of Windows guest machines with limited Linux) and EMC SANs are in scope in additional to AWS Cloud and Azure Infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Global IT Director of Data Center, Cloud and IT BCP and the Global Sr. IT Director of Infrastructure to develop and implement plans & strategies for the enhancement, simplification, and modernization of the computer infrastructure in support of the business and global IT strategy.

  • Develop and support a hybrid cloud environment which includes on premise VMWare and EMC SANs in addition to AWS IaaS cloud infrastructure

  • Implement and support AWS solutions including EC2, VMC, VCDR and S3 storage.

  • Develop, improve, and perform advanced troubleshooting for Azure and O365 email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive following security best practices.

  • Implement and support Azure and/or on-premises AD to SaaS cloud solutions.

  • Key contributor on the design and support of business continuity solutions (Operational Recovery and Disaster Recovery) by utilizing cloud and on-premises solutions.

  • Administration and monitoring of the Windows and Linux based server systems.

  • Research, recommend and implement IT modernization initiatives.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for Active Directory including group policies.

  • Advanced design and maintenance of Active Directory domains (Forests Trees and Domain, Users, Computers, Server objects), maintaining optimal health and security.

  • XenApp server farm design and administration

  • Maintain WINS, DNS and DHCP server

  • Lead infrastructure projects that include on premises and cloud (IaaS and SaaS) solutions.

  • Resolved end user issues escalated from the IT Systems Administration and Desktop Support Levels.

  • Communicate and present to all levels within an organization

  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or related work experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 1-5 years related experience and/or training.

  • Basic Mathematical Skills

  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs

  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables

Preferred

  • Certification in Azure or related work experience

  • Experience with supervision of server and/or cloud technicians preferred
