Family Practice & Counseling Network Therapist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 2606709 Description Job title Therapist Reports to Clinical Manager/Program Director Stepping Stones is the only long-term partial hospital program serving children ages 6 to 11 from the Philadelphia area with significant behavioral, emotional & traumatic histories. The program is a behavioral health program that offers individual, group and family therapy, as well as medication management with the Child Psychiatrist. Children are authorized for 12 to 18 months of services so we also function as their educational setting with classroom instruction up to 4 hours per day. We work closely with the Philadelphia School District. The program follows a modified schedule according to the Philadelphia School District for vacation and holidays and includes a seven week therapeutic summer program.

Position Summary This position is for a Masters level clinical to provide individual therapy to 6- 12 year olds in Stepping Stones partial Hospitalization Program. Ability to collaborate with many multi-disciplinary teams, good communication skills and ability to work on a team. Two year's experience working with children with behavior problems is preferred.

Essential Duties and Functions Therapy Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues. Caseload management Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment. Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals. Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed. Administrative Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines. Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field. Two years' experience providing direct therapy in the area of mental health, substance use or IDD. Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs. ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program FBI clearance, as needed

The use of arm and/or leg control requires force greater than sedentary, but worker still sits majority of time.
