Location: Hybrid (Remote & In-office)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CPA to join our team as a Hybrid External Reporting, Technical Accounting, and Controls Manager. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX, and revenue recognition.

This role involves evaluating and enhancing the Company’s internal controls, serving as a liaison between global audit teams and external auditors, and collaborating with various teams across the globe. You will play a critical role in the Company’s Corporate external reporting department, which is a small team of highly specialized individuals. Additionally, you will assist in ad-hoc responsibilities brought to the department such as preparing white papers and evaluating planned transactions for appropriate revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Controls: Work with global audit and various process owners and assist in evaluating the Company’s current controls, and if needed, help in designing additional, or more stream-lined controls. Serve as a key point of contact between global audit teams and external auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient communication and process coordination.

  • External Reporting: Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, and filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q) in compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.

  • Technical Accounting: Research and assess the accounting impact of certain planned transactions, prepare technical accounting white papers, and assist with the implementation of new accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • CPA required.

  • 3+ years of experience / (“busy seasons”) at a Big 4 accounting firm.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and revenue recognition.

  • Experience with external reporting processes, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q).

  • Technical accounting skills, including preparing white papers and assessing complex transactions.

  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with in-office collaboration.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with teams globally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a public company or similar role is a plus.

  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Familiarity with global audit coordination and international accounting standards is beneficial.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 6+ years including 2+ years of supervisory experience

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
