GCU Traditional Campus located in Phoenix, AZ:

Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Fall 2024 semester (09/03/2024 - 12/15/2024)

Course: Creating the Dramatic Television Series

In this course, students will learn the entire process of creating a dramatic television series. Students learn the skills of developing ideas, researching the marketplace, creating character bios, writing pilots, and pitching.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies

  • Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends

  • Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

  • Master of Fine Arts in Film Production OR

  • Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting OR

  • Master of Fine Arts in Television AND

  • At least two years professional experience within the film or broadcast industry.

    Portfolio will be requested for review of application documents
