Modern Industries Engineering Assistant in Phoenix, Arizona

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Project Task from Sales and/or Program/Project Engineers

  • Internal communications from Engineering team

  • NCMR from MRB team

  • New or revised BOMs from MII program/project managers via e-mail

  • Understanding and carrying out all tasks given by the Engineer Team

  • Compiling and validating PPAP/PQP documentation packages from Engineering/Quality teams and interface with Customer to closure

  • Collaborating with Engineering Team in New Product Development and sustaining Engineering activities

  • Understanding B/P requirements to create pre-plan data in ERP system

  • Updating CAD drawings according to Engineering Team requirements

  • Providing consistent and accurate data entry of items for MRP system (EPICOR) i.e., Bills of Materials, ECOs, Costing, and Item Master maintenance

  • Providing assistance to Engineering Team and/or other staff. This includes providing MRB support, RMA documentation, and Customer on-site rework documentation

  • Creating and updating Engineering Documentation guidelines (MIB creation)

  • Ensuring all expenses stay within the allocated budget

  • Participating in various learning experiences, which may include attending workshops and training sessions

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with personal computer (PC) software applications (ex: word processing, spreadsheet, data management, Adobe, etc.)

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to lead a project to produce successful outcomes

  • Ability to interface with Customers (external and internal) in a manner consistent with MII’s goals

  • Capacity to prioritize a list of responsibilities and projects which may often change to best meet the needs of Engineering requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions and to collaborate with others

  • Steadiness to work under pressure and within tight timelines

    Education and Experience:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent

  • A completed apprenticeship or similar experience is recommended

  • Minimum 0-1 years of experience working with engineering related documentation, specifications, MRP systems, PLM tools, or documentation repositories

  • Practical experience using CAD software (SolidEdge), preferred, not required
