Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Ambulatory Faculty Physicians (AFP) teach HonorHealth Internal Medicine residents in the practice of ambulatory internal medicine. The AFP provides medical care for patients in an ambulatory setting. The AFP actively participates in HonorHealth programs to bring high value healthcare to the patients we serve. The AFP may assist in the coordination in a variety of curriculum areas and may perform selected administrative duties for the residency and the hospital as assigned by the Associate Program Director for Ambulatory Education. The AFP functions as a role model for resident physicians in the clinical practice of internal medicine. The AFP participates and develops educational programs for the resident physicians and other faculty members. The AFP participates in scholarly activities at the state, regional or national level and assists/supervises scholarly activities for the resident physicians. Participates as an attending physician caring for patients at HonorHealth or HonorHealth Medical group Supervises resident care for patients at HonorHealth or HonorHealth Medical Group Participates in scholarly activity and faculty development educational programs Participates in residency, hospital, and community related committees as assigned. Participates in weekly teaching of students/residents/faculty at conferences Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education M.D. or D.O Required Experience Other Strong Clinical and teaching skills Successful completion of a residency in the practice of Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Required Licenses and Certifications Eligible for Arizona State License Board Certified in Internal Medicine, ABIM Required
