The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing processes and assisting our Engineering team. Under the guidance of engineering staff, the Technician will apply their technical knowledge to implement and improve production methods, troubleshoot issues, conduct tests, and collaborate on continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of manufacturing principles and processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work efficiently within a team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in designing and implementing manufacturing processes for products and components as well as optimize processes to achieve cost savings.

  • Set up, operate, and maintain various manufacturing equipment and tools.

  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during manufacturing processes.

  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.

  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous process improvements.

  • Prepare and update manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Monitor production lines and equipment trends, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

  • Assist in the training of production personnel on new processes and equipment.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to develop fixtures and in-line testers. Validate the effectiveness of these tools.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any manufacturing issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process optimization and new product introductions.

  • Assist in the selection and procurement of manufacturing equipment and tools.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all manufacturing activities.

  • Comply with company ISO 14001 and 9001 requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

    Education and/or Experience :

  • Associate degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a related field.

    Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Ability to navigate PDM & ERP systems to locate needed information.
