Compensation and Schedule for the Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Tech

Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Tech – Full-time, onsite, $20-$23 per hour, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a great team in a productive environment!

Required Qualifications of the Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Tech

  • 3+ years of recent medical assistant experience required

  • Orthopedics experience required

  • Casting and splinting experience preferred

  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate required

  • Orthopedic Tech certification required

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Tech

  • Greet and room patients

  • Take basic vitals and perform patient intake

  • Prep patient for provider

  • Help with procedures

  • Answer phones and prep charts

  • Obtain prior authorizations for procedures

  • Complete prescription refill requests and patient callbacks
