Peckham Inc. - Regional Training Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Regional Training Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing training programs across multiple locations within a designated region. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating training initiatives to enhance employee performance, ensure consistency in training practices, and align with mission, departmental, regional and organizational goals. The Regional Training Coordinator works closely with site leadership and reports to the Senior Manager of Operations Training and Readiness to identify training needs, tailor programs accordingly, and support the development of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the creation and refinement of training materials and course content for both new hires and existing employees. Ensure that all training programs are up to date with the latest procedures and best practices.

  • Leverage instructional design software and tools (Camtasia, Canva, Kahoot, etc.) to provide excellent learning and development opportunities to employees.

  • Effectively utilize a variety of learning management systems (LMS), including Workday, Cornerstone, and EditU, to develop, deliver, and track employee training programs, ensuring a seamless learning experience and accurate performance data management.

  • Effectively lead the deployment of training programs, including scheduling, coordinating with trainers, and ensuring that all logistical aspects are handled smoothly.

  • Develop and manage training and development projects and initiatives to empower employees with the tools needed to thrive in their role and meet their maximum potential.

  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions, both in classroom settings and one-on-one, at site locations, online or asynchronously. Adapt training methods to fit the needs of diverse learning styles and differently abled learner needs.

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Continuously improve training content and methods based on evaluations and changing needs.

  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees as they apply new skills on the job. Address any questions or issues that arise during and after training sessions.

  • Ensure that all training programs comply with organizational standards and regulations related to the Department of State National Passport Information Center (NPIC).

  • Work closely with other departments, support functions, and leadership to align training with organizational goals and address any specific needs or challenges.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and evaluation for all training team members. Support training team members in their professional development.

  • Ensure all training materials are accessible and inclusive, adhering to best practices and accessibility standards and providing various formats to accommodate the needs of diverse learners.

  • Stay up to date on best practices and trends in learning and development

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze data and use data to inform adjustments to training materials or facilitation.

  • Strong experience in training and development, particularly in a contact center environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to create and adapt training materials and content.

  • Proficiency in evaluating training effectiveness and making improvements.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices related to NPIC training.

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibility of a small to moderate size training team.

  • Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values, and fosters an environment of inclusion and belonging

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to a team across multiple sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • 3-5 years or more of related experience delivering training and/or instructional design, to adults in a business or educational setting.

  • A combination of education and extensive experience leading training initiatives will also be considered.

  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience

  • Minimum six months as an NPIC agent or ability to obtain agent certification upon hire.

  • Expert level understanding of adult learning theory, curriculum and instructional design, training methodology, assessment development.

  • This position requires passing and maintaining federal and state security background checks and clearance. U.S. Citizenship required due to security clearances. Security clearance is a requirement of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of Adult Learning, Human Resources, Education, Business, or another related field.

  • 5 years of experience leading extensive training and development training programs.

  • Experience utilizing various training and instructional design tools such as Camtasia, Articulate, Kahoot, and Canva.

  • Experience providing training, coaching, or mentoring individuals with disabilities.

  • Ability to assess the accuracy of training materials translated from English to Spanish by the training team.

  • Experience creating training materials and assessments/evaluations.

  • Preferred experience using Workday, SharePoint, or Cornerstone.

  • Strong understanding and expertise in Captivate or similar author/content creating software. Ability to cross train the software to others within the training department

  • Industry certification in training and development

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel within the assigned region, traveling weekly between North Phoenix, AZ and the East Valley, AZ. Domestic travel required as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, particularly during the design and development of training materials, meeting with key partners and employees, conducting research, and other computer-based work. There may also be prolonged periods of standing during training sessions, presentations, and workshops.
