The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.

As a principal software engineer on the User Experience team, you will be leading and driving the design and architecture of the product and establishing the standards and partnerships with other service teams. From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services. We're on a React & Redux stack, and communicate with other services via well-defined, RESTful interfaces.

Responsibilities

About You:

You have solid communication skills. You can clearly articulate and present complex technical concepts.

You work well with all levels of engineers and managers. You can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers.

You thrive on ambiguity. You have a strong sense of ownership, and are able to drive development of new projects and features to completion.

You are comfortable working at all levels of the stack. You worked as a tech lead.

You have strong fundamentals and you know React & Redux; or, you don't know React, but are willing to learn.

Minimum Qualifications

· 6 to 8 years of experience shipping software

· BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

· Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

· Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)

· Proficiency in at least couple of the following languages: Java/ C#, JavaScript, React.js, React Native, TypeScript, Angular, Backbone, Knockout.js or another AJAX framework.

Preferred Qualifications

· MS in Computer Science

· Experience in a start-up environment

· Experience building rich, browser-based applications

· Experience designing, developing, and maintaining web applications operating at great scale

· Experience in at least couple of the following languages: Java/ C#, JavaScript, React.js, React Native TypeScript, Angular, Backbone, Knockout.js or another AJAX framework.

· Good understanding of Unix-like operating systems

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
