Description

Tommy Zapp with Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant to join a growing CPA firm in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be tasked with various accounting services for clients, maintaining the accuracy of financial data, and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles. You will also be expected to develop strong working relationships with clients, and stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting services for clients, including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations

• Conduct general ledger reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data

• Prepare and post journal entries in a timely and accurate manner

• Prepare Financial statement on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients through personal attention and timeliness of service

• Communicate effectively with clients to handle information requests

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles

• Provide accounting services for tax clients

• Utilize software such as QuickBooks and Ultratax CS in managing client accounts and data.

Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Good understanding of General Ledger

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must

• Knowledge of Ultratax CS software is advantageous

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Must be adaptable and comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
