Job Title: Party Chief I

Job Description

We are seeking a Party Chief I to perform skilled technical survey work as part of a survey crew. The Party Chief I directs and mentors Survey Technician II, ensures survey trucks are stocked and maintained, operates survey equipment, directs field crew operations, reads and understands plans, performs survey calculations, and compiles accurate field notes. The role involves communicating with crew members and project stakeholders, maintaining attendance, reviewing work products, and complying with instructions in English. The ability to travel is required.

Hard Skills

  • Survey calculations

  • Reading plans, blueprints, and specifications

  • Operating survey equipment

  • Knowledge of construction, boundary, and topographic surveys

  • Thorough knowledge of survey equipment and data collection

  • NSPS/ACSM Certified Survey Technician – at least Level 2

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Carlson

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Soft Skills

  • Directing and mentoring team members

  • Communicating effectively

  • Maintaining reliable attendance

  • Compiling accurate field notes and records

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Full benefits provided. This is a full time W2 position, not 1099 or short term contract.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Phoenix, Arizona.
