Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, CD & Sales Enterprise Governance , Analytics & Insights is responsible for the development and enhancement of a robust monitoring strategy, data repository, metrics and reporting packages for the Client Permutation Database. This individual will design, build and maintain analytical tools and processes to develop and advance our internal capabilities for providing effective testing and monitoring of Synchrony Surveillance Monitoring & Testing (SMT) CTC's across all functional and organizational boundaries. Further providing insights and growth opportunities for the business operation of the Client Permutation Database.

Essential Responsibilities:
Own, development and drive strategy for the client permutation database, inclusive of development and maintenance of a data repository, risk metrics, dashboards and visualizations.
Independently extract and analyze data from multiple data sources and conduct analysis to identify trends and action items. Providing those insights to the various impacted Governance and 1LOD cross functional business teams.
Streamline and strengthen metric reporting and analytics through increased automation and digitization across all data sources including data collection, aggregation, and stewardship of all related data and analytical materials.
Drive insightful workflows, reporting packages, and escalation triggers. Connecting the dots escalation across the Commercial Eco System.
Leverage visualization to provide user friendly reporting and insight driven analysis.
Lead analytical support for program segmentation strategies, client PFCC settings, and ad-hoc analysis.
Lead analytical support for database related change management tracking strategies along with tools and ad-hoc analysis to enhance the overall effectiveness of the entire process.
Foster strong partnerships and engagement with business and risk teams, where necessary, to understand impacts from data shifts and recommend enhancements to data where data is currently not available. Track progress on action items.
Foster strong partnership and engagement with relevant stakeholders in the identification of data quality requirements.
Partner with our Data Office to report and address data quality issues.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or high school diploma / GED with minimum of 9+ years of Analytics Experience
Subject Matter expert with data management and reporting tools
Strong PC proficiency (Microsoft Suite, including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
7+ years of progressive work experience, including:
5+ years developing high impact and innovative reports and dashboards for multiple level audiences leveraging visualization tools such Tableau.
5+ years of work experience in SAS, SQL, R, Python or related coding skills/tools.
5+ years of work experience in an analytical role
Desired Characteristics :
Master's / MBA degree preferred in computer programming, mathematics, economics, finance, engineering, or other quantitative field
Experience in Financial Services or Banking industry with understanding of financial services regulatory environment
Knowledge in SAS, Python, SQL programs to independently perform data pulls/manipulation, data mining and creation risk & compliance reports
Proven experience working in an ambiguous environment and creatively developing ideas and potential solutions
Strong proficiency in Tableau desktop and Tableau server, Birst, Clickview or similar reporting tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail in the ability to organize and express metrics and data concepts in concise, understandable business terms using a variety of mediums
Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail and quality control of work product
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Lead project independently with little guidance while articulating key findings and communicate to Senior Leaders
Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to foster relationships and create informal networks, both internal and external.
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
