ABOUT THE JOB:

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for the capital markets? We are seeking a top-tier candidate to take on the pivotal role of Director, Investor Relations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive our investor relations strategy and build strong relationships with the investment community.

As the Director of Investor Relations, you will:

  • Lead Strategic Development: Drive the creation and execution of our investor relations program, crafting and delivering value-driven messages that resonate with stakeholders and enhance our market presence.

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders to provide strategic insights and guidance on investor-related matters, influencing key decisions and corporate strategy.

  • Prepare for Investor Meetings: Ensure senior leaders are fully prepared for investor interactions, delivering impactful presentations and conducting thorough post-event analysis to refine our approach continuously.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyze market trends and investor feedback to continuously improve our investor relations strategy, ensuring we stay ahead in a competitive landscape.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Leadership & Management

  • Serves as a key advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board on investor relations strategy.

  • Manages and develops Senior IR Analyst.

  • Coordinates 3rd-party service providers (e.g., IR support, Nasdaq, etc.) as needed to increase the impact/effectiveness of the IR function.

  • Leads and/or supports special projects in the areas of M&A, strategic planning, financing decisions, and cost of capital.

Financial Acumen

  • Performs ongoing and comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and a summary of key messages.

  • Develops and monitors performance metrics for the investor relations function.

  • Assists with the production of annual reports, SEC filings, and proxy statements.

  • Work with other corporate finance functions (accounting, audit, tax, legal) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Monitors research reports on the company and the industry and provides analytical summaries for senior management and the Board.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Develops and maintains an investor relations program focused on creating value-driving messages for the investment community.

  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with and serves as the key point of contact for the investment community.

  • Creates presentations, scripts, press releases, and other communication materials for quarterly earnings process, and for other presentations to the investment community as needed.

  • Organizes and executes conference calls with the investment community to discuss quarterly financial results.

  • Coordinates and participates in investor conferences.

  • Prepares senior leaders for meetings with the investment community and provides feedback/post-event analysis.

  • Spearheads major investor-facing events like Investor Day and operational tours.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources, Marketing, and other stakeholders on internal and external communications.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain an existing database (Nasdaq IR Insight) that captures interactions with members of the investment community.

  • Establishes the optimal type and mix of shareholders and creates that mix through targeting initiatives.

  • Coordinates and participates in investor conferences.

Customer Focus

  • Provides feedback to management regarding the investment community's perception of how the company is being managed, its corporate strategy, and their view of its financial results.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree / MBA preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant and/or Chartered Financial Analyst designation preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant financial experience including treasury operations, capital markets, and/or business analytics.

  • The ideal candidate will have a combination of corporate finance, sell-side research, and/or buyside asset management experience.

  • Operational knowledge of Nasdaq IR Insight, Bloomberg, Workiva / W-Desk preferred

  • Professional presence and ability to interact with senior management, banks, research analyst and investors

  • Experience working with all corporate levels including executive management and external contacts

  • Advanced analytical and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in an effective way

  • Knowledge of the industrial and business services sectors, preferred

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams by building consensus,

  • Capital markets experience

  • Strong financial and analytical skills

  • Travel 25-35%, primarily for investor conferences following each earnings release cycle.
