AnMed Health Physician Practice Medical Office Specialist in Pickens, South Carolina

SUMMARY

Responsible for the patient’s initial contact both in person and telephonically, acts as the primary contact for patients as it relates to accurate account information. Verifies benefits, completes registration, initiates up front collections as well as ensures the patient is properly identified. Scans and indexes all patient information and related forms in a timely manner. Responds quickly to incoming calls through multi line phone system and accurately schedules appointments. Balances cash, payment postings and reports this activity daily.

EDUCATION /QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· High school graduate or possess GED

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· General office skills including typing, use of computer everyday job performance

Preferred

· Efficiency in using internet/email, EHR and data entry

· Medical office experience preferred

· Medical terminology and insurance experience
