KPS Global, LLC Maintenance Technician in Piney Flats, Tennessee

KPS Global, LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time, regular/at-will basis. As a key member of our maintenance department, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of our production equipment, tools, facilities, and vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that our associates can work in a safe and productive environment and that we consistently meet our customer requirements. The Senior Maintenance Technician will perform duties in alignment with our current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and adhere to the KPS Global Code of Conduct. Key responsibilities include operating various hand tools, troubleshooting production equipment and vehicles, repairing and installing complex electrical and mechanical systems, and reading and interpreting schematics and service manuals. The technician will also be involved in fabricating complex systems using welding and plumbing skills, performing preventative maintenance, and managing the logistics of parts and equipment for maintenance activities. The role requires maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards. This position does not require travel and offers an hourly wage ranging from $14.17 to $23.62. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on work environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in their work.

Required Skills

  • 5 – 8 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Advanced comprehension and math skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office programs

  • Safe and effective operation of equipment, tools, and powered industrial trucks

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and measuring devices

  • Troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical and mechanical systems including PLCs

  • Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English

  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the work day

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance

  • Ability to climb and balance

  • Manual dexterity in hands for tool usage

  • Visual inspection of products

  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • Wearing all required personal protective equipment

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 5 – 8 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, tools, and automated/numerically controlled plant equipment

  • Experience in fabricating production/facility systems using welding, milling, plumbing, and pipefitting

  • Experience with preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities

  • Experience in maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards

  • Experience with electronic processes and paperwork associated with maintenance activities
