Position Available: Full Time Maintenance Apprentice

Location: 2 Kexon Dr. Pioneer, OH 43554

Located close to the Michigan/Ohio border, Toledo Tool and Die has diligently served the people of both of those great states since 1940. Toledo Tool & Die is adding Maintenance Apprentices to our team to support our continued growth.

Hours for this position are typically: 1st shift Monday -- Friday 6:00AM -- 2:00PM 2nd shift Monday -- Friday 2:00PM -- 10:00PM 3rd shift Sunday - Thursday 10:00PM - 6:00 AM Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekend & some holidays) * *Subject to shift rotation every 6 months to gain experience to different leaders Shift subject to change once apprenticeship is complete

  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical fundamentals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assisting with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Takes direction and seeks the guidance and expertise of senior level personnel and accepts training and mentoring from them.
  • Assists with basic maintenance assignments involving but not limited to preventive, routine preventative maintenance of equipment, learning to maintain production equipment, performing shop duties, and construction projects as required.
  • Report any defects found during preventative maintenance inspections immediately to supervisor
  • Will train to install, modify, diagnose, repair, and manage electronic, industrial, computer, and control systems.
  • Ensuring that industrial machinery operates efficiently and dependably.
  • Assists technicians with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, and greasing.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

High School Diploma or equivalent

Eligible to work in the United States

Able to enroll in and take courses at the designated community college

Complete a certified Apprenticeship program whereby the employee can demonstrate experience using various tools, including but not limited to knowledge of mac
