Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Piscataway, New Jersey

Description

We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team located in Piscataway, New Jersey. In this role, you will serve as an essential point of contact for technical support and assistance in an office environment, assisting a sizeable user base across multiple buildings. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and requires proficiency in a variety of IT skills including Citrix Technologies, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Mac Computers, and Microsoft among others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional technical assistance and troubleshooting support to end-users through various modes of communication.

• Handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

• Promptly diagnose and rectify hardware and software issues to minimize disruptions to productivity.

• Work collaboratively with the IT team to identify and implement solutions for complex technical problems.

• Conduct regular system maintenance tasks including operating system updates, software patches, and antivirus software updates.

• Assist in the setup and configuration of network connections while ensuring adherence to proper connectivity and security protocols.

• Educate and guide end-users on the effective use of computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.

• Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures to maintain an updated knowledge base.

• Participate actively in IT projects and initiatives such as hardware and software deployments, system upgrades, and technology migrations.

• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures pertaining to IT security, data privacy, and equipment usage.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies and Dell Technologies is required

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems is essential

• Proficient in working with Mac Computers and Microsoft products

• Knowledge of Active Directory is mandatory

• Must possess skills in Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments

• Experience in Deskside Support is necessary

• Must be comfortable working with Windows 11 and MS Windows 10

• Familiarity with the ServiceNow Platform is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
