Summary: The RFP/Proposal Manager is responsible for identifying and submitting all Request for Proposals (RFPs)/Bids, State Adoptions, and Cost Proposal Narratives for Pitsco Education programs. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams, this position coordinates and executes the customization of sales materials, samples, and presentations for large-scale adoption opportunities; manages new and renewal district vendor contracts allowing the Sales team to sell into those districts; determines product fit, tracks win/loss potential, and develops a pipeline of RFP opportunities as identified using search tools and the Sales team connections. A member of the Marketing team, this position enjoys a fast-paced work environment and has strong written and oral communication skills, exceptional project management abilities, and strong attention to detail.
These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Evaluating state, district, bid, RFP, and adoption opportunities and reviewing the decision to pursue or not pursue in conjunction with Sales and Marketing leadership
Preparing all related bid documentation including coordinating and customizing marketing collateral, correlations, and sampling requirements, from intent to bid through submission
Writing a compelling case for purchase, providing accurate pricing, and ensuring timely submission, with assistance from Sales and Marketing leadership
Coordinating all activities related to digital and/or in-person review of submissions
Providing input to Marketing on adoption sales collateral, presentations, videos, website, and other appropriate promotional tool requirements
Identify Request for Proposals (RFP)/Bid Opportunities
Identifing and contracting with appropriate bid tracking services to proactively receive opportunity announcements
Researching and identifying RFP/bid opportunities through relationships with Sales representatives and district research
Manage RFP/Bid database
Establishing a database to track RFP/bid requests; sources; submissions or decisions not to submit; wins and losses
Appropriately tagging RFP/bid submissions to enable efficient completion of like proposals
