Here’s what you’d do:
The Site Safety Manager is responsible to provide technical expertise and/or oversight of company efforts related to achieving safety and health excellence including providing day to day EHS support to large construction projects and operational teams within designated Projects or sites. Support includes coaching, teaching, and training, and enforcement on all applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations. Additionally, this position will support all accident, incident and injury management, investigation and corrective action activities including applicable record-keeping and reporting. This position will collaborate closely with representatives from General Contractor and other on-site subcontractors, and project-personnel.
You’d be responsible for:
Serve as subject matter expert on strategies, programs, and procedures for ensuring compliance with one or more OSHA standards.
Utilize the TMP safety software web-based system as required.
Reviewing Superintendent, Foreman, and Subcontractor weekly safety inspection reports.
Assure that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available, and workers have been trained on use of PPE and it is being used as required
Provide senior-level technical expertise and/or oversight of company efforts related to achieving safety and health excellence.
Develop region, market, and location management strategies for effective administration of safety and health programs.
Conduct, coordinate and review inspections of assigned site to identify potential OSHA compliance issues.
Assess group/location implementation of BrightView requirements as contained on the Safety & Health Resources website.
Assist locations with the development of corrective action plans that address compliance or management system/practice issues.
Monitor and hold management accountable for completion of corrective action plans developed by the region/branch to address compliance or management practice issues.
Train on-site personnel regarding safety policies and procedures.
Assist with implementation of safety & health procedures and programs consistent with OSHA regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
Effectively communicate any significant problems or issues to the Site Superintendent, Regional Leadership and VP-EHS
Perform all other duties as assigned including fulfilling responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks. Tasks may include items such as, but not limited to, leading Subject Matter Expert (SME) Teams, assigned projects or other duties or initiatives as directed.

Required daily, weekly, and monthly record-keeping and reporting.
You might be a good fit if you have:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field: Occupational Safety, Engineering, Behavior Safety, Industrial Hygiene with 5 plus years of safety experience or High School/GED diploma with 10 years full time safety experience.
CSP, ASP, OHST, or CHST credential preferred.
OSHA Outreach Trainer (1910 or 1926), preferred.
Completion of OSHA 30 (1910 or 1926)
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards (completion of OSHA 510 and 511)
Knowledge of DOT regulations (preferred)
Ability to recognized compliance and risk issues and situations.
Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices
Prior experience in recommending, developing, and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to clearly and succinctly convey message verbally and in writing in variety of communication settings/styles
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
Ability to Walk/Stand up to 10 hours a day.
Must be able to direct report to customer site.
