(DLH) family of companies, TEN has the capacity to deliver, finance, and guarantee all levels of projects and technology applications. 2025 Program Information Duquesne Light Holdings/TEN offers summer internships that provide a hands-on, meaningful employment opportunity in a supportive setting that cultivates learning and collaboration. Duquesne Light's internship program will provide you with a valuable experience and a solid start to your career in various disciplines. Internships are full-time (40 hours/week), paid, and run for 12 weeks (May-August). Internships are located in Pittsburgh and follow DLH's Hybrid Work Model (described below). Candidates must be full-time, degree-seeking students enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed their Sophomore year of studies. Candidates must be in good academic standing. Candidates must be willing to work the required schedule as defined in the job description. Demonstrated leadership ability through studies, employment or extracurricularactivities. Aptitude for problem solving; strong communication skills.

Overall Purpose: TEN (The Efficiency Network) is a provider of customized energy solutions for large businesses, governments, universities and hospital systems. TEN delivers a robust suite of fiscally sound, environmentally responsible energy efficiency, distributed generation and smart city products and services that exceed its customers' sustainability, financial and operational goals. These solutions extend to the areas of energy efficiency, LED lighting solutions, street lighting, onsite energy assets and renewables, and more.

Engineering intern sought for full-time (40 hours/week) position for the Summer 2025 Internshipprogram.

Education/Experience: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates must have completed their sophomore year of studies.

Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements: Work will be conducted in a hybrid environment with some time working remotely, and some time required to be in-office/on-site. Candidates must be within close proximity to Pittsburgh.

Other: Applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and social media screen.

Hybrid Work: All internships follow our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Interns must be in the immediate Pittsburgh area for the summer. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.
