Clinical Research Coordinator

 

The department of Critical Care Medicine (CCM) is currently seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to assist with the coordination of clinical research activities in relation to projects being conducted across research centers. This position requires the ability to recruit subjects; perform specific protocol testing; complete biological sample processing and shipping; complete data entry; and provide ancillary support to Clinical Research Coordinators. Incumbent may be required to work evenings and weekends to support study needs. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Previous experience working in a medical environment and knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.

Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

Ability to interpret patient responses and medical records. Ability to accurately enter data into various forms and databases. Ability to adhere to written study protocols.

Physical Effort

This position is usually sedentary but does require walking around campus and may require driving to study sites to perform similar sedentary duties.
