Data Communication Specialist

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking applicants to join our pool of available professionals with experience as Data Communication Specialists. We are sourcing candidates who have experience in maintaining and enhancing hospital organizations’ data communication infrastructure.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Role Overview

As a Data Communication Specialist, you are responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data communication systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance of network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network Management

  • Configure and maintain data communication equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls

  • Monitor network performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions

Infrastructure Design

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new network solutions

  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to support evolving business needs

  • Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams

Security and Compliance

  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

Project Management

  • Lead data communication projects from conception to completion

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data communications or network engineering

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs)

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco network devices

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)

  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools

  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT environments

Pay Details: $34.03 to $51.71 per hour
