Job Description:

eProductivity Software is hiring for a Director of Tax, who will support both the Controller and CFO through consistent and accurate tax compliance and reporting requirements. This person will champion change and implement processes and methodologies that support global tax compliance for our growing international software company. This includes driving the evolution of eProductivity's tax function based on market best practices and be our expert for all tax activities associated with a global software company. This person will be expected to establish a highly efficient, highly structured, disciplined compliance environment that is frequently audited and required to submit quarterly and annual tax returns for both sales and income tax. Additionally, this person will oversee a team of 2-3 FTE’s located in the US and abroad.

Position Duties:

  • Support statutory tax requirements for 15 active legal entities (8 EMEA, 3 APAC, 2 USA, 2 LATAM)

  • Oversees and manages the US Sales Tax function (Avalara), EMEA VAT Tax (Pincvision) and other ancillary tax remittance processes (eg. GST) with ePS tax staff and third-party firms.

  • Reviews the assignment of tax codes for newly introduced products, facilitates implementation.

  • Ensures all transfer pricing activity is captured timely each month in accordance with the corresponding transfer pricing agreement.

  • Prepares new sets of standard operating procedures as it pertains to daily, quarterly, and annual tax activities, specifically those that support day-to-day activities performed by the Order Management and Tax team members.

  • Contributes to overall data governance strategy and assists with data management strategy roadmaps

Assuming Tax responsibilities the candidate would be expected to:

  • Record the year end tax end provision for all applicable entities in accordance with the issuance deadline for ePS annual financial statement audit.

  • Execute Request for Proposals (RFP’s) as needed to ensure the Company’s tax needs are effectively met and compliment the skill sets of ePS tax staff.

  • Drive improvements in working capital by re-defining existing practices and policies with ePS stakeholders

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Masters in Taxation or CPA preferred)

  • 10+ year’s experience in progressive taxation related roles. Ideal candidate has at least three years in public accounting and has led a multi-national company.

  • 2 or more years of direct supervisory experience leading and developing a tax and/or accounting team.

  • Extensive experience in building out tax configurations and processes for newly created legal entities.

  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, collaborative self-starter with ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with multiple team members in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Experience with NetSuite and Avalara is a plus

  • Has the ability to research, document and implement new tax strategies through inter-department coordination.

  • Understands the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process and can compliment the corporate accounting team in ensuring recurring entries, accruals, and intercompany transfer pricing accounting entries are recorded in a timely fashion in the Company’s primary and secondary books.
