DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role you will function as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist (County Mental Health Program Specialist 1) for the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health, Bureau of Child and Adolescent Services (BCAS), under the general supervision of the BCAS supervisor. Our team members collaboratively and individually monitor and provide technical assistance to assigned contracts between Allegheny County and private agencies that provide Early Intervention (EI) and State Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services in accordance with state and county regulations, guidelines, and policies.

Additionally, you will provide direct information to the supervisor regarding policy development and programmatic changes for the improvement of early intervention (birth to five years) that includes direct services, program development, oversight, and the auditing of EI programs, as well as services for children and adolescents who have severe emotional disturbances. You will also have the opportunity to educate providers, schools, and the public on specialized EI services. Support vulnerable populations in your community with our team!

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements: This particular position also requires applicants possess two years of experience performing audits of Early Intervention programs. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
