Responsibilities

  • Prepare and type various benefits related letters and mail to homes for newly eligible employees
  • Follow-up with employees to gather missing or incomplete benefit enrollment paperwork
  • Add employees and/or eligible dependents on healthcare into on-line insurance carriers
  • Add employees and/or eligible dependents on healthcare in the HRMS system
  • Add/term or make changes on the COBRA administration/enrollment and Reconciliation
  • Create benefit kits for employees
  • Manage the address changes for employees in conjunction with payroll
  • Assist with FSA enrollment
  • Conduct US Cargo enrollment
  • Perform enrollment auditing
  • Perform KHS administration
  • Prepare and scan various documents, including HR and medical personnel files, for electronic retention purposes
  • Secure documents in designated storage space to ensure confidentiality
  • Utilize scanners to ensure optimal performance and proper resolution of documents
  • Organize file paperwork to be scanned in proper format
  • Review workflow approvals in UKG environment
  • SharePoint administration (HR portal)
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned Other Duties
  • Assist with the following projects (once/year): Katherine Hammel Scholarship, Blood Drive, Bring Your Child to Work Day; Cookouts and uniforms
  • Facilitate the mailing of Terminal Talks to Retirees
  • Complete HR projects as needed
  • May occasionally be required to provide administrative duties to HR

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of clerical & administrative experience required
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software products, specifically Word & Excel.
  • Must be able to handle customer (internal and external) complaints in a professional; upbeat and calm manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspect of HR information.
  • Ability to maintain exceptional degree of discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently using good judgment or as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computerized, multi-line telephone system.
  • Flexibility with changing job duties.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements * Monday through Friday, hours may vary depending on department needs. No weekend hours and minimal overtime required * Quiet to moderate noise level * Primarily sedentary work - may be required to lift up to 25 pounds or exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forces frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are only required, occasionally. * Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer terminal, and extensive reading. * Typical exposure to interior environmental conditions like air conditioning and dust; no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. * Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fi gers. * Talking and hearing required to communication with and listen to others to share or receive information. May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others.
