TEKsystems Entry Level Installation Technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Our client is a local industry leader in the security and systems integrations industry looking for an Level 1 Technician to join their growing team based in Pittsburgh, PA

Description:

  • Test, inspect and clean devices which may include smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct detectors, fire panels, primary and secondary power sources, pull stations and other life safety devices

  • Test various functions on fire panels

  • Ability to recognize and document deficiencies and recommend improvements identified during the inspection process

  • Timely completion of inspection related form

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Knowledge of electronics and excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions, attention to detail

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service

  • Ability to work independently or as a team

  • Valid driver's license with a clear driving record

Additional Information:

  • 1+ year of electrical experience or degree

  • Ability or proven experience with any of the following: structured cable (CAT5, CAT6), CCTV, access controls, wiring

  • M-F standard working hours

  • Local travel required
