Financial Analyst

 

The Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Division of the DOM is hiring for a Financial Analyst. The division is led by division chief Alison Morris, MD, and is made of up approximately 70 clinical staff and over 100 research staff who work in a variety of locations including: Bridgeside Point, Biomedical Science Tower BST, UPMC Hospitals including Presbyterian, Shadyside, East, Jameson and Mercy. The division provides world class services across 10 inpatient services at five hospitals and over 70,000 outpatient office visits. We have a major research mission that focuses on basic, clinical, and translational research on the lung, microbiome, COVID-19, sleep medicine, and allergy and immunology.

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine within the Department of Medicine is seeking a Financial Analyst. They will reconcile and budget the division's University discretionary and hard money accounts. The incumbent will manage and budget UPMC clinical trials. Will be responsible for performing purchasing tasks within the University's Panther Express system. Will perform prism journal entries. The incumbent will work with our medicine research team to help faculty manage their grants and effort allocation. Will manage all discretionary funds for both Pitt and UPMC faculty. This position will be fully on campus during the 6 month provisional period, with the possibility of it becoming hybrid after successful completion of the provisional period.

Job Summary

Prepares and analyzes moderately complex financial statements and handles assigned projects expenses; prepares moderately complex to complex financial reports. Performs advanced analysis of financials, tracks progress and forecasts future trends, and assists with financial statement preparation.

Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours.
