UPMC Hybrid Recruitment Specialist - Contractor (Pathways to Work program) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

We are hiring someone to join UPMC Insurance Services Division recruitment team, to work on our Pathways to Work program. This will be a Full-time Contractor role, based in Pittsburgh, PA. The individual hired will be an employee of Novus Group. Novus Group is a workforce solutions firm that supports UPMC in community initiatives.

UPMC Pathways to Work is a job navigation program that helps set unemployed or underemployed adults on the path toward a rewarding career by connecting them with work opportunities. It also assists those who have intellectual, physical, or behavioral challenges which make it difficult to find or maintain a job.

The position provides a blend of recruitment skills and community outreach for the Human Resources Department in partnership with UPMC Health Plan Social Impact team. This role will involve working with our community partners, outreach to our members and attend recruitment events/information sessions. This position will also develop relationships with our Talent Acquisition team, build talent pipelines, and offer support and guidance to all prospective candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct employment screening interviews for external applicants, of all levels and types of positions, including management.

  • Compare candidate qualifications with documented, objective criteria consistent with the job description to refer to our Talent Acquisition team across the organization.

  • Act as an advocate to candidates for resume assistance, interview preparation and job navigation.

  • Provide feedback and coaching to candidates, members, and community partners.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC HS sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.

High School Diploma Required.

  • Two years of work experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

  • Driving of your personal vehicle is required and is an essential function for this position:

· Frequency of driving is occasional (typically 1 or 2 times per week) and based on needs of UPMC.

· Driving to work-related events, job fairs, hiring events, etc. is normally local travel within the work day in the Pittsburgh, PA area. (No overnight travel)

· Work designated travel is reimbursable the week after it occurs using the current IRS standard mileage rate

· Eligibility requirements include successful completion/compliance of all driving protocol and policies including, but not limited to, review of MVR report to requirements, ownership of the vehicle and all associated insurance, registration, etc.

· This position is contingent upon the results of the pre-hire driving protocol and ongoing compliance with all applicable driving policies.

· Must possess a current /valid license of the type required by the state(s) for the driving that will be required
