GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This job builds new analytical solutions which inform processes and operations at AHN. The incumbent designs, executes and synthesizes point analytics to support specific questions, programs or initiatives. The incumbent is a data-driven problem solver who understands and utilizes the Organization's strategies goals and processes to answer critical business and research questions by leveraging and synthesizing the large volume and variety of data available to them. Draws on tools and methods from statistics and machine learning to perform analysis, create predictive models, visualize data, and drive projects through to delivery. Continuously scans and tests new data sources, tools, and analytical techniques and partners with leading institutions and experts to contribute to our portfolio of next-generation analytic projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with stakeholders to translate complex analytical results into actionable insights, tailored for specific audiences (e.g., business stakeholders, scientific publications, non-technical audiences). Develop clear and compelling reports, presentations, and data visualizations that connect high-level problem specifications, analytical methods, and results to business or scientific objectives. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the industry, data, and analytical methods through ongoing engagement with diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, processes, and initiatives, identifying opportunities to deliver value and scientific insights through analytical solutions. Outline new use cases, estimate potential impact, and identify required data elements to address complex problems. Assemble data sets by accessing relevant data from the organization's source data system, derived production sets, and publicly available sources. Secure and manage access to these data sources, documenting objectives, assumptions, and data collection processes.

  • Select and apply advanced modeling and machine learning techniques, including regression models, tree-based learning, neural networks, clustering techniques, and natural language processing, to deliver insightful and accurate analyses. Ensure thorough research, documentation, and appropriate model selection. Provide guidance on future model maintenance, demonstrating technical flexibility and expertise in analytical approaches.

  • Lead and coordinate complex data analysis projects, identifying the optimal path to deliver solutions for implementation or publication. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results, ready for deployment or dissemination.

  • Proactively research and develop new analytical skills and approaches. Build and maintain internal and external relationships to share knowledge and establish a strong subject matter expertise. Contribute to the field through external activities such as presenting at conferences, coordinating events, or publishing in professional journals. Lead and coordinate teams of data scientists and analysts to guide analysis and deliver complex projects.

Q UALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Doctorate’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer & Information Science, Computational Biology, Economics, Experimental Psychology, Neuroscience, Engineering or other quantitative fields of study or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of Doctorate’s degree.

  • 10 years of experience in Data Analytics experience to include:

  • 3 years utilizing Statistical Software, Large Datasets, and/or Data Visualization

  • 3 years of Machine Learning and/or Advanced/Non-Standard Statistics

  • 3 years of Healthcare industry experience

  • 1 year in Human Subject Scientific Research and/or Industry Research and Development

Substitutions

  • None

Preferred

  • 3 years of experience in Scientific Research with multiple first author peer-reviewed publications in high impact journals. Principal Investigator / Published
