Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role involves overseeing and managing payroll processes within our company's construction industry. The successful candidate will be expected to use a variety of skills, including Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Check Processing, Automated Payroll, Viewpoint Vista, and Weekly Payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of payroll administration in a timely and accurate manner.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile, analyze and present payroll data.

• Perform accounting functions related to payroll, ensuring all calculations are accurate.

• Process checks for payroll distribution, ensuring all employees are paid correctly.

• Implement and manage an automated payroll system to improve efficiency.

• Utilize Viewpoint Vista software to manage payroll information and processes.

• Process weekly payroll, ensuring all employees are paid on time and accurately.

• Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues that arise, providing excellent customer service to employees.

• Monitor payroll procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline payroll processes and improve the overall functionality of the payroll department. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll administration

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must be familiar with accounting functions

• Experience in check processing is necessary

• Knowledge of automated payroll systems is a must

• Must be able to handle weekly payroll

• Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista is desirable

• Good communication skills, both written and spoken

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must possess a problem-solving mindset

• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
