Program Manager

The University of Pittsburgh, Ophthalmology department is searching for a Research Program Manager that will work closely with the department Chairperson.

Job Summary

Manages and facilitates overall day-to-day research administration activities and operational functions. Collaborates to ensure compliance, productivity, and progress. Develops and implements program policies and procedures and adheres to protocols, regulations, and budgets. Coordinates program events and logistics. Performs budgetary functions.

Essential Functions

• • Manages and facilitates overall day-to-day research administration activities and operational functions. Maintains effective and efficient management of program activities.
• • Coordinates with department chair on schedules and timelines.
• • Develops and implements program policies and procedures.
• • Monitors budget, allocation of resources, and budgetary adherence. Assists to prepare budget for approval.
• • Ensures team productivity; develops and leads improvements in team functioning as needed.

Physical Effort

Must be able to stand and sit for longer periods of time.

Must be able to multitask and utilize timeline and calendar tools.

Proficient on MS office suite.
